The Clermont Club joins Mercury’s Growing Portfolio

Mercury Communications is delighted to announce that the Clermont Club has joined our ever-growing portfolio of luxury lifestyle, food, travel, education and property clients. This summer, the Clermont Club will reopen as a private member’s club and casino.

Tracing its roots all the way to the 18th century created for Lady Isabella Finch’s royal parties by William Kent, No.44 Berkeley Square was the original home of John Aspinall’s iconic Clermont Club. Founded in 1962, the Clermont Club helped to shape the burgeoning gaming scene of the swinging sixties in London by being one of the first places in London to legally gamble.

Bringing new dynamism to Mayfair’s traditional gaming scene, the club will offer intuitive service, world-class food and high table maximums, attracting players from around the world.

In addition to six individually designed gaming rooms for Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and Three Card Poker, the new Clermont Club will feature a 30-cover restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Arturo Granato, as well as a bar and a top floor library for private gaming. The building has been restored with respect to the building’s 18th-century bones, by Amber Design & Build architects. Interiors, by WISH Interior Architecture, carefully reflect the original design, while also introducing contemporary Asian elements to the period design.

We are excited to be supporting the launch of such a historic club, and to see it pave a new way in Mayfair’s casino scene. We will then continue to work on media relations across lifestyle, along with creative brand partnerships and events.
