Placemaking and innovative strategic partnerships to promote the Jewel on the Adriatic

We were appointed to provide communications support for this burgeoning Montenegrin marina town, which after completion, will offer over 2,000 waterfront properties, seven hotels, two marinas, and an 18-hole Championship golf course designed by Gary Player. It is a 1.1bn euro investment, the largest investment into the Balkan country to date.

Mercury provided a 360-degree offering, from media relations to partnerships and events. We secured coverage and press trips across key UK national papers, and luxury lifestyle titles. Partnerships were forged with entities such as Investor Media, who hold family office events in conjunction with boat shows internationally.

We created a plethora of events for them, including a night with Montenegro’s UK ambassador and senior embassy staff, celebrating 140 years of UK-Montenegrin relations at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Also in attendance were a significant number of Montenegrin diaspora. Another successful event was at the esteemed Royal Thames Yacht Club for drinks, to introduce Luštica Bay to RTYC’s members and guests, and to plan a collaborative yacht regatta in the Luštica Peninsula. Also noteworthy was showcasing Luštica Bay at a Saudi-focused summer event in London, together with The Luxury Network.

We hosted several press trips to the development, including a special, milestone one to mark the launch of the five-star Chedi hotel.

After 18 months of working with them, we expanded the brief, to also take on the United Arab Emirates coverage. We further supported them to enter and win multiple awards, including Best Residential Development and Best Developer Website, Montenegro at the International Property Awards.
